CSA announces team for Track World Cup

Cycling SA (CSA) on Tuesday announced its cycling team for the opening round of the UCI Track World Cup Series, to be held in Manchester from November 1 to 3.

CSA Track cycling commission director, Roger Bouton, said the team selected would focus on qualifying for the Commonwealth Games in the Team Sprint and the Team Pursuit events.

The team concluded a successful week-long training camp in Newport, South Wales, last week before departing early on Saturday morning (Oct 26) to compete in the Revolution Series in Manchester which started that day.

SA Track Team, Men's Track Sprint: Bernard Esterhuizen, Jeanne Nell, Jean Smith.

Men's Track Endurance: Nolan Hoffman, Kellan Gouveris, Evan Carstens, Theuns van der Bank, Marco Abrahams.

Women's Track Endurance: Maroejska Matthee.
